Ausable Chasm:
A spectacular experience for anyone. Descending into the gorge, you will be walking parallel to the boat tour down the river. The towering walls, and racing water are well worth the admissions fee.Located: just outside of Keeseville

 Lyon Mountain:
This difficult climb is well worth the work, when you reach the summit. Spectacular views of Canada, the Adirondacks, and the Green Mountains of Vermont.Located: Located just west of Chazy Lake.
Ausable Marsh:
A bird lovers paradise, accessible by foot, or canoe, this marsh offers some of the best bird watching around..Located: Off of Rt. 9, just N. of Ausable Chasm.		 Point Au Roche State Park:
This easy walk, affords you breathtaking views of Lake Champlain. This is an eight mile trail network.Located: Just north of Plattsburgh.
Catamount:
This trail starts relatively easy, but as you reach the final approach to the summit, rock climbing skills are definitely needed. From this point on, you climb over windswept rocks to the summit. The views are spectacular, but this can be a difficult climb , and not for the casual hiker, or someone in a hurry.Located: above Taylor Pond, in Southwestern Clinton County..		 Silver Lake Mountain:
DEC marked trail starts on Silver Lake Rd. This is an easy climb, that can be completed in 1 to 1 1/2 hours round trip, even at a relaxed pace. The views from the top are of Mud Pond, Taylor Pond, and Catamount. Located: near Ausable Forks, in southwestern Clinton County
Flat Rock Gulf:
An easy walk, with an incredible view at the end, a 100 ft. drop down to a glacial pond.Located: Just north of Plattsburgh.		 Valcour Island:
Historic Island, with ca.1874 lighthouse. Many beautiful views. Located: Just south of Plattsburgh
Lewis Preserve:
This leisurely walk, takes you past abandoned farm fields, and past some civil war era charcoal kilns.Located: Just north of Dannemora.
